“This singularity of meaning–I was my face, I was ugliness–though sometimes unbearable, also offered a possible point of escape. It became the launching pad from which to lift off, the one immediately recognizable place to point to when asked what was wrong with my life. Everything led to it, everything receded from it–my face as personal vanishing point.”
Throughout my career as a clinician, supervisor, and educator, I have pursued advanced training with the same dedication I bring to my practice. My work is grounded in evidence-based modalities, trauma-informed care, and a commitment to affirming, inclusive practice for all clients. I continue to expand my skills through specialized certifications, workshops, and collaborations with leading experts in the field. I completed advanced and foundations level training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, EMDR, Narrative Therapy, and Compassionate Inquiry with Dr. Gabor Maté. I also completed psychoanalytic training through the White Institute in the eating disorders program. Additionally, I also completed advanced clinical supervision training through Smith College School for Social Work.
